Hi, I’m Deirdre. I’m a psychology graduate, writer and the creator of Psychology Hits. I’ve also studied Software Development, which helps me build this website. My writing explores psychology, research and lived experience, with particular interest in trauma, adoption, genetics, self-discovery, and human behaviour. As an adoptee, I’m especially interested in identity, early life development and the long-term effects of experience. I also write about relationships, emotional well-being, cognition, personal growth and the hidden patterns that influence how we think and behave.
